I absolutely love stone oven, the green apple salad is amazing !! It come with half a pita bread. It has a sort of balsamic vinaigrette dressing, it is so good. I always visit this place when I'm in the neighborhood. I've even had it delivered to my house. Another must try is the buffalo chicken flat bread, I am hooked !

This place has changed so much! They are all so rude and it's no wonder the one they call "jefe" (that's boss in English) is super rude! He does not care to give you you're money back for poor served food, instead of fixing the problem he gives you attitude! It's sad that I can no longer go here.. I refuse to go back to a place were I was talk down to by the "jefe" (boss)! If this place doesn't change it will eventually close down, to expensive for the amount of food they give..! I recommend the Stone Oven on Friars Road it's the best and they give you what you pay for NEVER going back to the one in Plaza Bonita!
Note::: I never do yelp reviews, I just go about my business and just leave it like that.. but the way I was treated was not ok! You don't treat paying customers that way! You better get your act together "jefe" or your going to be out of business! -

We feel like they do not have enough Stone Ovens in San Diego (think there's only 2). We did not even know this place existed until we came across it in the Plaza Bonita mall. They are located in the food court area, on the 2nd floor of the newer side of the mall. The staff was OK and wish their service was a little quicker. But, we really enjoyed their food.
Stone Oven makes gourmet sandwiches and salads. They make their bread fresh and warm up the sandwiches in their stone oven. We have tried a few sandwiches off of the menu such as the BBQ Beef Brisket and the Santa Fe Hot Ham. As sides, we have tried the caesar salad and potato salad. Everything has been very tasty!
For a light meal, the two of us have been able to share a sandwich and a salad and be satisfied. The food is not heavy and does not leave us feeling guilty after eating there. -

A sandwich, salad and pizza place in the mall, it's probably one of the healthier options here. The pricing is pretty fair, the salad stuff is freshly cut, and bread is made in the oven here.
I decided on the grilled cheese combo, which was cheddar warmed on the bread, with a side caesar salad and a drink. The salad was prepared nicely, with dressing given on the side. The bread was very soft and I would say tasted very good. -

Serving size getting smaller while prices went up a dollar. Please fix this issue don't want this please to go out of business like all the other places in this mall. Johnny B, Ruby's, bakery corner, el torito
